Lit Moon Theater Company Presents
2008 Lit Moon World Shakespeare Festival
"Humbug!"
A holiday classic gets a new twist when Lit Moon Theatre Company presents their take on Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” in a production entitled “Humbug! A (Lit Moon) Christmas Carol” adapted by and directed by acclaimed Lit Moon Artistic Director John Blondell. Performed in their visual, image-oriented Lit Moon fashion, each actor will portray several characters. The action will be integrated with puppetry and original live music. It should appeal to adults and children alike – perhaps become a new Santa Barbara tradition.
The four-person cast is comprised of Lit Moon company members Stanley Hoffman, Victoria Finlayson, Kate Louise Paulsen, and Erin Brehm. Live music has been composed and will be performed by James Connelly and Anna Abbey.
Lit Moon Theatre Company presents “Humbug! A (Lit Moon) Christmas Carol” at the Center Stage Theatre on Friday, December 21 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, December 22 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.Click on each image for a larger version

"THE WEDDING" A Matrimonial Musical Fantasy
May 16, 17, 23 at 8 p.m.
May 24 at 4 p.m. & 8 p.m.
THE WEDDING is Lit Moon's newest piece for the theatre, which premiered at Teatr Modjeska's International Festival "The City" in Legnica, Poland, last September. In a drastic departure for the company, the piece is a musical fantasy, featuring music by James Connolly and Anna Abbey, and lyrics by members of the company. The show is infused by an infectious pop music sensibility and features an eclectic array of musical styles from pop anthems to bossa nova, from country-tinged ballads to driving rock. The show's irresistible music and lyrics, and charming comic style, combine to show a side of Lit Moon never before seen by local audiences.
THE WEDDING features Erin Brehm, Stan Hoffman, Victoria Finlayson, Kate Paulsen, and the aforementioned Abbey and Connolly. Yevgenia Nayberg is the costume designer, Ted Dolas is the lighting designer, and John Blondell directors.
Tickets: $20 for General Admission, $14 for Students, $7 for Children. Special Premiere Ticket, including Show and Post-Show WEDDING Reception on Friday, May 16th, $50.
