Founded in 1991, Lit Moon is a collective of theatre artists dedicated to the development and presentation of alternative theatre.
From the beginning, the company’s artistic work cultivated a physical, image-based performance vocabulary.

John Blondell, Professor and Chair of the Theatre Arts Department at Westmont College, is the founding Artistic Director. His 2005 production of Shakespeare’s King Richard II was the most honored Santa Barbara production for the 2005-2006 season, receiving four Independent Theatre Awards, including one for direction.
