Commissioned by the International Festival “The City” (Legnica, Poland) in 2007, The Wedding premiered in Santa Barbara in May 2008 and was immediately heralded as “Lit Moon’s breakthrough show.”

Inspired by a play by Nikolai Gogol, the piece features music by James Connolly and Anna Abbey, and presents an eclectic array of musical styles, including pop anthems, bossa nova, country-tinged ballads, and driving rock ‘n roll.

The Wedding features Stan Hoffman, Victoria Finlayson, Sarah Halford, Kate Paulsen, and the aforementioned Abbey and Connolly. Yevgenia Nayberg is the costume designer, Ted Dolas is the lighting designer, and John Blondell directs.
